Phoenix Yard, Woodbridge, Suffolk        33cm x 46cm         watercolour on watercolour board

This boatyard burnt down in the past, hence its present name of "Phoenix Yard".   When I sat

down to do this painting it was a hot day and so I positioned myself in the shade of a 35 foot yacht

which was on trestles on the quay.  After an hour or so a huge crane on caterpillar tracks

 clanked into view and hoisted the yacht into the river behind me.
