I loved this tumbledown range of gently collapsing old barns with its wonderful range of

textures.  Before I began to paint I had to use the shovel in the picture to remove some rather 

pungent textures and make a space for my seat and easel.  The "Ferrymasters" name was on

a sheet of packing case being used to patch up the barn where the original timbers had rotted.
