watercolour and collage, and some acrylic
This small fishing port on the coast of Normandy
provides some interesting scenes to paint. This painting was started as a
watercolour wash for the sky and the water, and then I cut up a local magazine
to make up the buildings of the town in collage. (The dark church tower was the
sugar wrapper from the nearby cafe where I called in for a coffee and croissant
at mid morning). The boats were painted over the top in watercolour and acrylic.
